Pastor David Kunle Abiodun Deeper Life Bible Church
CONVERSION & SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Pastor David as he is simply called was born into a Christian family in October 1953. He grew and participated in many religious activities with the family, yet, he was not born again. His search for God led him to move from one church to another where he devoted himself to religious activities. The grace of God that bring salvation however located him at a weekend Christian outreach on the 28th day of December 1973. He became born again with evidence of a new life in Christ. He also prayed through the essential Christian experience of Holy Ghost baptism. He later served God in various capacities during his growth process. He identified with different Christian groups and held different positions as Secretary to Scripture Union and president of Christ Apostolic Church at some point. He coordinated Sunday School at his church. He also Coordinated bible study groups, led evangelism teams, disciple new believers in Christ among many others.
BIBLE TRAINING
Pastor David attended several Christian and Pastoral conferences at home and abroad. He participated in Retreats, Seminars and training programmes organized by his Church.[Deeper Life Bible Church] He later trained at the International Bible Training College [IBTC] Lagos, Nigeria in the early eighties.
He taught Pastoral Counselling at the Short-Term Ministerial Course [STMC] under the auspices of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry.
PASTORAL WORK.
His pastoral work started in 1980 during his undergraduate programme at the Nigeria Premier University [ University of Ibadan, Nigeria] He started with about 100 members. He later in life led a congregation of membership ranging from a few hundred to over 10,000 members in his home country, Nigeria.
MISSIONS
He was actively involved in Missions work in the eighties and early nineties. He took Missions work to many African nations of Kenya, Congo Brazaville, Cote –Divoire, Ethiopia etc. He also planted Churches in some of the places visited.
TENT-MAKING & MINISTRY
Sharing the vision of Apostle Paul in tent-making, Pastor David competently combines his secular employment with the work of the Ministry. He holds a Masters degree in Psychology. His PhD in the same field was nearing completion in the early nineties when the demand of Ministry made him abandon the time-consuming research work. As a top University Administrator with over 35years of experience, he has held the position of Registrar at the All Saints University School of Medicine, Commonwealth of Dominica for over a decade. Simultaneously, he is also the Pastor and Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Dominica. The Church he planted in 2007. From Dominica, he planted and also oversees the arm of his Church on the Island of St Vincent & the Grenadines.
PASSION & OTHERS.
His passion is to see Sinners saved, Saints edified and the body of Christ prepared ready for Christ’s return.
Pastor Abiodun who now holds dual Citizenship as a Dominican is married to Pastor [Mrs] Janet Alake Abiodun and the family is blessed with Children.
